Can RADF Viewer still save SAT files ?

Good day!

RADF Viewer for R20 was able to save opened SAT files what was helpful to upgrade old SAT files to R20 version. The viewer for R21reports "Failed" in the status bar when clicking "Save ACIS model" in the context menu. Was this intentionally disabled or can be just a problem of my particular computer (though the same one which was successful for R20) ?

Thank you very much in advance.

Re: Can RADF Viewer still save SAT files ?

Hello Roman,

That function is not intended to be enabled.  The "free viewer" is a "free viewer" - if you need file modification ability of any sort then licensed products are available.

Re: Can RADF Viewer still save SAT files ?

Hello Ray,

Thank you for a prompt reply and explanation. So was this recent change an effort to restrict the policy or was R20 functionality unintentionally enabled ? I do not have access to earlier versions (pre-R20) so cannot track back how the product behavior changed.

My motivation was to upgrade support of ACIS-SAT in our product to R21 but given this disabled feature it does not look straightforward any longer, unfortunately.

We were once evaluating ACIS InterOp but could not come to an agreement due to licensing issues.

Thank you again,

Roman
