Does RADF Viewer work on Windows 7 x64 ?

Hello!

I have installed Windows 7 64-bit on my laptop and RADF Viewer stopped working :-(. The application shows up for a few seconds (with partially drawn GUI), its name appears in Task manager but then it silently closes.

It used to work well on the same laptop with Windows XP SP3 32bit.

The problem persists for R21 and R20.

Is there anything I could to get it working or help Spatial team to provide data to get it fixed ?

Thank you,

Roman

Re: Does RADF Viewer work on Windows 7 x64 ?

Hi,

RADF Viewer does work on Windows 7 (32 bit and 64 bit). I am wondering if this is a security issue for Vista and Windows 7 machines when downloading a package/zip file from an outside domain. When you download the zip file, could you follow these steps

1. Uninstall RADF Viewer on your machine..

2. Save the zip file on your local hdd

3. Right click on the zip file, go to "Properties" option and "Unblock" the dll (Should be an option on the properties page)

4. Now perform a fresh install of RADF Viewer..

Let us know how it goes...

Re: Does RADF Viewer work on Windows 7 x64 ?

Hi,

Thank for the hint. Unfortunately, it did not help but what did help is installing into a user directory different from C:\Program Files(x86).

I have experimented just iwth a couple of SAT files. R21 version viewer seems to have Check Body disabled (is this intentional?) and it failed to open one ACIS7.0 sat file which was successfully opened by R20 viewer.
