SolidWorks (direct) Reader in R24 SP2 on XP

We didn't have any trouble with R24 SP1 on XP.  After upgrading to SP2 (which now supports SolidWorks 2014), SolidWorks translations no longer work on XP.  The following log information is given as an example;

The same environment has no trouble translating SolidWorks files (include v2014) on other platforms (e.g. Vista, win7 & 8).

I know that SolidWorks 2014 (the application) is not supported on XP. Does this mean that SolidWorks translation is no longer supported on XP since support for SW 2014 format has been added?  Any other possibilities or similar experiences out there?

Thanks,

Mike
