Hi,
General Question about support for Windows 7
R21 release notes states that 64 bit Windows 7 NOT supported for Catia5 rd or wr,
I can confirm this ! What about 32 bit Windows 7 ?
Also I managed to get a R19 version of Catia5 rd and wr working in Windows 7 64 bit
I guess this is just by chance ? or is there some form of regression ?
Finally when is Windows 7 64 bit likely to be supported - since this is the way the
world is going.
Many Thanks
Rob Cox

Hi Rob,
CATIA V5 Reader and Writer are currently supported on Windows 7 32 bit platform.
We are currently working on 64 bit Windows 7 and expect to support it in next service pack - R21 SP1 which is scheduled for Mid August release.
Thanks,
Vivekan

We have found that although you can not build ACIS test examples on Windows 7 x64, we are able to build our software with the 3D InterOp interface on Windows 7 x64 and run successfully.
The reason behind why it doesn't compile correctly is due to compiler settings. I don't know off hand which flags as we have many set for our other applications which build with the Spatial software, but I wanted to point out that it is possible.
