I'm trying to intersect a helix with a bunch of cylindrical faces but somehow the boolean intersect operation is failing. It looks like having a cylinder with multiple faces is the one that is causing the operation to fail. I tried using regularise entity to merge that faces but it did not work. What I'm trying to do is in the attached scheme script and sample CAD file. Is there any way to make the scheme script work? Thank you.
Is it possible to intersect the helix using one face of the cylinder at a time and then merge the edges and possibly remove any seams that are not necessary?
