Hi,

CGM is used for all in Catià or some part are in CGM and others in ACIS ?
An explication about this two programs used in Catià.
Thank you for every elucidations,
Alessandro

Hello Alessandro,
CATIA uses CGM as it's primary kernel, not ACIS.
Spatial is now offering CGM as a component product for application developers to license. CGM provides application developers with full modeling functionality, best-in-class robustness, and native geometric and topological compatibility with CATIA (and other Dassault Systemes applications) 3D data.
Spatial also offers and supports the 3D ACIS Modeler component, which is deployed in hundreds of different applications.
Best regards,
Ray Bagley
