Dear All,
Suppose I select a plane on an imported geometry.
Which api is accessible to tell the plane is a circular or rectangular plane.
and How can I extract the geometric parameters such as radius for circular plane and length and width for rectangular plane.
Thank you very much
Mike

Hi Mike,
You are asking the question slightly wrong to find the answer. The plane is not round or rectangular, its bounding edge curves form the shape you're interested in. You will need to query the CURVEs under the EDGEs to answer the question.
Best,
Ray

Thank you for the reply.
I checked it. CURVE has four shapes, STRAIGHT, ELLIPSE, HELIX, INTCURVE.
I guess by virtual int CURVE::identity(int level = 0 ) const [virtual]
I can identify which the bounding edge is.
is that true.
Thank you.

I suggest you start with these FAQs:

And it would be a really good idea to read the ACIS tutorials:
