How to create 2 one-sided edges out of 1 two-sided?

Hi,

I'd like to split an edge, but not in regular sense (like split it at some parameter value). I need to create 2 one-sided edges out of 1 two-sided edge. Is it possible in one shot - is there an api which can do it?

Of course this can be done with unhook/stitch, but it would be better to use a single function for that.

Hi

I am not sure of the workflow for this.  The sidedness of an edge really depends on the COEDGEs hooked up to it.  There is one COEDGE per face incident to an edge.  If you want to analyse one face at a time, or something like that, api_down_copy_entity (maybe spelled incorrectly) can do that when you give it a face as input.

I may be able to say something more useful if you could explain a bit or context.

Thanks for the reply!

The purpose is that users want to manually repair tolerant edges. For that I have to "partially unhook a face": leave non-tolerant edges untouched and break face-face connection if they connected through tolerant edge.
