Hi,
I got problem with the impact of unit changing.
I know ACIS itself does not need units to build a model. However, the model created in ACIS eventually need to relate to a part in the real world that do need length units. For example, I build an ACIS brick to model a 1 cm x 1 cm x 10 cm box. If I first assign one drawing unit representing 1 cm, the ACIS brick's dimensions are (1, 1, 10). Now if I changes the units to mm (in other words each drawing unit represents 1 mm now), the same brick's dimensions should be (10, 10, 100).
My problem is that, if I draw the brick in cm and then switch the units to mm, the brick still shows the dimensions of (1, 1, 10) in mm, instead (10, 10, 100) in mm. I cannot find the right place to update the dimensional data. Can anyone help please?
Thanks a lot.
Jian
