I'm using Synopsys SDE and routines which perform offseting of bodies with rounded edges crash when two rounded edges offset into each other.
Of course no comments can be made regarding Synopsys applications or anything regarding their application uses of ACIS. I won't ask.
Questions:
If two adjacent facing rounded edges are offset causing them to run into each other, do ACIS API's crash?
If a set of bodies are cut by a box and the box edges/faces are coincident with verticies or faces in the structure database, do ACIS API's corrupt the structure database?
Were there issues with ACIS API's in much earlier releases which could cause such issues and were they resolved?
Best Regards
Richard

Hello deviceman,
Theoritically ACIS apis should not crash or corrupt databases. Please work with Synopsys so that this is invesitgated.
Regards,
Yogesh
