Hello kobofa,
Do you have admin rights to the machine on which you are trying to install the product? Also please review http://doc.spatial.com/index.php/Registration#Spat

Yogesh

Hi,
I experienced the same problem despite having Admin rights on my machine, checking permissions in the Windows registry (I assume that's where the entry would be made?) and rebooting. I have a University License (which apparently requires registration) and installed ACIS R21sp3 (Windows VS 2010) on Windows 7.
I followed registration instructions (http://doc.spatial.com/index.php/Registration#Regi
The status line in the spa_lic_app?.exe tool after hitting the ""Register" button says:
"Registered. Error writing node registry."
As expected, when trying to debug a sample application on the same machine, the error message is
"1
3
1 ALKI 4095
3 UserInfo 2
6 CurDate 2011/07/04
1 CurVersion 21
2 LogErrMsg 35 Registry data could not be accessed?"
Any ideas of what I'm missing?
Thanks,
Georg

Hello Georg,
Can you please provide following details
1) What is the Version of Windows 7 you are using?
2) Do you see the same behavior with 32 bit version and 64 bit version?
3) What is the behavior with other machines and version of ACIS (eg Windows XP and VS 2008, VS 2005,32 bit, 64 bit etc)?
This information will help us in the investigation.
Regards,
Yogesh
