I am using Turbocad and having a horrible problem with ACIS errors. Adding or subtracting parts gives the error message, "The Resultant ACIS Solid is degenerated. The boolean operation is discarded."
The solutions so such problems are baffling. For example, for one part of parts that would not add, I changed their position as X += .1" and then they add. THen I do SAT healing on the combined part I get "The Result of the healing has bad geometry".
Is there any tool that one could use to verify the integrity of the part in ACIS terms? For example, export to SAT format and analyze.
The frequency of ACIS errors going to the user is staggering.

The quickest way to check a part is to use acis3dt.exe. You can find this application under <ACIS install Dir>\<ARCH>\bin. After exporting your part to sat, you can load the part, and then select Debug->Check from the menu.
Please refer to the ACIS documentation regarding checking located here - http://doc.spatial.com/index.php/SchemeExt:Entity:
