Hello everyone, my name is Robert and I'm a technical account manager here at Spatial. Although I work with ACIS and IOP directly, I find myself spending a fair amount of time working with RADF and because it's a fairly new product for Spatial, there tends to be a lot of questions regarding what it is and how it can be used. Because of this, I'd like to start a RADF thread in which we as a community concentrate our questions related to RADF in one place.
Before we get started, I'd like to give a little background on RADF for those not familiar with it. First the name; RADF is an acronym that stands for Rapid Application Development Framework. This name conveys the main goals we set when we designed RADF:
1. Rapid development and time to market
2. Extendable and customizable framework
3. Ready built application to jump start customer development
So that's the name and what it means, now a little of the technical aspects of RADF. It's a C# based application built on top of Spatial’s 3D components. RADF is completely customizable and is designed with a plug-in architecture that allows you to write your own plug-ins. It comes with basic modeling and viewing capabilities and we plan on releasing a lot more for the R2 release. It provides a C++/CLI infrastructure for managing C++ to C# source code. RADF’s WPF based user-interface is simple to design and provides an opportunity to separate UI design from implementation. RADF is delivered as source code through Spatial’s publicly available Subversion repository. This makes it easy for customers to receive regular updates and critical bug fixes. On top of this, RADF is delivered at no extra charge to customers who sign up for the Spatial’s developers support program.
Now to get things started, I'd like to pose a few questions of my own:
1. Are you planning to develop a new application? If yes, are you evaluating RADF?
2. And for those who are currently using RADF, what features would you like to see on its roadmap?

In case, it wasn't clear in the above post, RADF currently is only based on Microsoft's .net framework; hence, it is ONLY avalilable on Windows platforms.
Thanks
